In the spring of 2015, I began DAS Consulting, working as an advisor to companies seeking insight into content, product, branding, and overall digital strategy. My background at media companies such as HBO and Viacom led to further work with entertainment brands such as A24 Films, PRX, A+E and Lifetime, while my experience building partnerships and business strategy formed the basis of more wide-ranging projects with Audioburst, an AI technology firm; Manoush Zomorodi and Jen Poyant’s Stable Genius Productions; and MOW Razor, a personal care startup.
At various points in my career, I’ve worked as a creative director, producer, documentarian, business development executive, and media strategist -- overseeing everything from multi-platform video teams to strategic partnerships to UX development. As Senior Vice President at VH1, I built out the Connected Content & News Team, which created genre-bending content for the brand’s linear, digital and social platforms. My time at Viacom began by leading Digital at Logo, the first TV network and digital outlet dedicated to LGBT audiences. I also spent several years at HBO; their Original Programming team hired me to help build their first interactive division devoted to creating digital experiences and products that extended the life of their characters beyond the TV screen.
The communication challenges for companies today are diverse and significant — requiring finely tuned eyes and ears to the needs of audiences, as well as the potential of new technologies. I’ve worked at the forefront of a constantly shifting media landscape for over two decades now, negotiating the intersection of talent, innovation and a participatory audience. And my work has been recognized with several awards and honors, including citations from the Webbys, the Art Director's Club of New York, Communication Arts, the SXSW Awards, the Emmys for Interactive Media, and more.
I live in Brooklyn with my husband, two children and a small garden, all of which I tend to devotedly.
